Freeriding is skiing or snowboarding through unspoilt snow away from marked and controlled ski pistes, mostly using lifts to travel up.
The most important thing is of course safety. Your guide will show you what to do on the mountain, how to use an avalanche transceiver, how to act in the event of an avalanche, how to rescue someone etc.
